Finance Manager

I am Carol Lewis-Owen, and I’m proud to have worked for BayVets since 1987, when the practice was called Edgecumbe Veterinary Services. I started just after the Edgecumbe earthquake at the Kawerau clinic, employed by John Hepburn to do ‘a bit of office work’. I ended up doing vet nursing and reception there for four years and then did computer work at the Edgecumbe clinic for a number of years before accepting the role as Office Manager. To cut a long story short, I now have my office in the Vets4Petz clinic in Whakatane and my role is to take care of the company finances, computer system and the staff. I thoroughly enjoy this most challenging role and have met and worked with many wonderful people over the last 34 years.  I now live at Ohope, but my home-town will always be Kawerau, where I grew up. I am a keen lawn bowler, enjoy time with my grandchildren, and love my wee garden and walks to the beach.
