Nicola Wichtel

Veterinarian Mixed

Nicola was born in New Zealand, but grew up on Prince Edward Island off the east coast of Canada (which is why she sounds funny). After growing tired of the cold harsh Canadian winters, she returned to New Zealand in 2013 to pursue her veterinary degree at Massey. Nicola enjoys the diversity that comes with being a mixed animal practitioner, with a particular interest in equine and working dog medicine. Nicola is also involved with the Whakatane Kiwi Trust and helps care for our local kiwi bird population. In her spare time, Nicola enjoys mountain biking, tramping, cooking, and traveling.
