Bay Veterinary Group Ltd
We're here to help your pet stay happy and healthy.
I grew up on sheep and beef farms in the Wairarapa and there was always a multitude of animals around,
After school I went to Massey and my first job was at a farm outlet store and Veterinary Clinic in Featerston.
I then went on to work as a Veterinary Nurse in Clinics in Wellington and Tauranga, during which time I got my Veterinary Nursing degree.
When I had children, I started a pet sitting business and then the first Doggy Day Care in Tauranga, which is still running.
After a move to Taupo, I sold my business and moved to managing the Taupo SPCA. I then I went on to a role managing Animal Control in Hastings. During this time, we were involved with pony club and competing up to Horse of the Year.
An opportunity for my partner in Whakatane led us to move here in 2019 and we are now living on a 12 acre block just out of Kawerau. There are a multitude of animals including cattle, Suffolk and Swiis Black Nosed Valais sheep, a pony, cats and chickens.
My son Connor has a Pharmacology degree and is now working at Virbac in Hamilton and daughter Georgia is studying towards a Health Science degree at Otago.
Spare time is spent developing our property and working towards an MBA at Waikato, when time permits, but we are aiming to spend more time on the lake and enjoying what the Eastern Bay of Plenty has to offer.
