Angelique is our friendly and dedicated Puppy Preschool Trainer, passionate about helping puppies get the best possible start in life. With 10 years in Veterinary nursing, and a strong interest in canine behaviour, Angelique enjoys helping puppies and their families build a positive foundation for a happy life together.
Her goal is to give families the knowledge, practical tools and confidence they need to help their puppy thrive.
Her approach to Puppy Preschool is centered around fear-free, reward-based training, creating a safe environment where puppies can learn, explore and build confidence at their own pace.
While socialisation is an important part of Puppy Preschool, Angelique also focuses on helping puppies and their families navigate the challenges of settling into a new home. Sessions cover practical skills and common puppy behaviours, including mouthing, barking, basic training, separation-related behaviours and environmental enrichment.
Angelique particularly enjoys seeing the transformation in puppies throughout their time at preschool. She loves watching puppies who may arrive at the clinic feeling nervous or unsure gradually become more comfortable, confident and playful. Seeing them grow into happy, confident members of their families is incredibly rewarding.
She also enjoys working one-on-one with families who are experiencing specific challenges. Every puppy and household is different, so Angelique enjoys taking the time to understand each family’s environment, lifestyle and individual needs, and then tailoring a practical, positive approach that works for them.
And, of course, graduation is a favourite! Angelique loves seeing the skills that families have worked so hard on together, celebrating how far each puppy has come, and capturing those special moments with their graduation photos.
"Angelique was amazing, she was THE best part of puppy school. She is kind, educative, knowledgeable and approachable!"
"Angelique was great with information - Pepper loved it, playing with the big dogs as there were no small ones in the class. I think for a first-time puppy owner it's informative and useful and great for socialising pre 16-week vaccinations as that time is tough."
